Real estate developer REDPORT and furniture retailer Mobexpert have launched REDPORT Living, a program through which homebuyers in REDPORT projects receive integrated furniture and interior design solutions tailored to each development—ranging from fully equipped kitchens to walk-in closets included in the sale price.

The increase in the VAT rate for new homes from 9% to 21% has significantly altered the real estate market in Romania, at a time when the residential sector was already being affected by inflation, high interest rates, and high construction costs. Experts consulted by “Adevărul” say that the tax measure has led to a slowdown in transactions and a shift in buyer behavior, as buyers are analyzing their purchases more carefully and placing increasing emphasis on the quality of projects, the reliability of developers, and the long-term value of their investments.

Redport has reached a portfolio with a Gross Development Value (GDV) of over €450 million and is betting on the combination of residential, retail, leisure and hospitality to deliver above average returns.
The largest project in the pipeline, Infinity Nord, developed on over 60,000 sqm in the Dămăroaia-Străulești area, has already signed pre-leases with Auchan and World Class, while the company is preparing the way for its 2028 IPO.
